Our Work
Lives Unwritten is an independent humanitarian storytelling initiative established in Australia to document and preserve the experiences of civilians affected by war and conflict in Afghanistan.
We believe that behind every casualty statistic is a human being with a family, a history, and a story worth remembering.
Our work combines independent journalism, local reporting, personal interviews, photography, and documentary filmmaking to record these experiences with dignity, accuracy, and respect.
We aim to collaborate with local journalists, researchers, and documentary storytellers to bring these stories to a wider international audience.
Our Mission
Our mission is to preserve human memories, promote understanding, and ensure that civilian experiences are not forgotten.
